New Features:

The most obvious one is that Gamecock Archives is now requiring you to register / sign-up and then login to see our web pages. The sign-up is free – this simply allows us to offer more features – we’ve added several in the last week and will be adding more in the coming month.

To sign up, simply click the “Register/Sign-Up” button on the far right. You’ll be asked for a userid, your name, e-mail address and city and state. That’s all you have to provide. Only your userid will ever be available to other users of Gamecock Archives. You’ll receive an e-mail with your password at the e-mail address you enter.

Some of the new features now available include:

My Profile

Once you’ve registered a profile is automatically created for you. When you click on the ‘My Profile’ button on the right you’ll see your data. You’ll see ‘My Favorite Players’, ‘My Favorite Games’ and ‘My All-Time Team’.

-         On any player page you can click the ‘Add To Favorite Players’ button and add that player to your favorites list for you and other users to see.

-         On any game detail page (go to Seasons then pick a year then click on a game date to get to the Game Detail) you can click ‘Add To Favorite Games’ button and add that game to your favorites list for you and other users to see.

-         From your profile you can click the ‘Edit Team’ link on ‘My All-Time Team’ and pick your own all-time Gamecock team

Opponents

Click on ‘Opponents’ on the far right and then pick any opponent off the list page. You’ll be taken to a page that lists all results against that opponent and then the newest feature – you can see the top 5 rushing, receiving and passing performances by USC players against that opponent. NOTE that this only includes games for which we’ve been able to attain individual statistics. This data is ever-increasing as we track it down.

Create-A-Team

A new feature that will be out in the next few days, “Create-A-Team” will be a button on the right side that lets you pick a team, just as “My All-Time Team” does but will let you pick other types of teams, like “My All-Time Freshman Team” or “My All-Time Team From S.C.”. You’ll also be able to view all teams created by other users for comparison.

There are many new and fun features on the way, please be sure to visit regularly. Also be sure and check out those video clips from the 1965 USC-Clemson game that were provided to us by Randy Harbour.
