2007 - Doug Kingsmore Stadium hosted a battle of top five teams and #4 South Carolina walked away with a dominant 12-0 road win over #2 Clemson. Harris Honeycutt started for USC and blanked Clemson for seven innings, allowing just two hits and striking out seven. The win improved Honeycutt's record to 12-0 as a Gamecock. Curtis Johnson, Nick Fuller and Jordan Costner combined to shut out the Tigers over the final two innings. Offensively Justin Smoak, Phil Disher and James Darnell all homered and Disher and Darnell's shots were both three-run blasts. The win improved Carolina's record to 9-1 on the year, while Clemson fell to 7-2.
