1997 - The Gamecocks battered eight Clemson pitchers for a school record 38 runs in a 38-16 win. USC, second in the nation in runs scored per game, had 30 hits and seven home runs. DH Ryan Bordenick tied the school record for hits in a game with six and RBI with 9 as he homered and had two doubles. Other offensive standouts included SS Adam Everett (4-5, 2B, 3B, HR, 4 RBI), C Rob Streicher (4-7, HR, 5 RBI), 3B Brandon Walters (3-5, 2 HR) and 2B Ryan Szwejbka (3-6, HR, 7 RBI). Jamie Poston got the win for USC. The 38 runs were not only a USC record but also a record for the most ever runs allowed by the Tigers.
